Massad Meets a Delegation from the Early Education Program (ASAS)

The President of Yarmouk University, Professor Islam Massad, met the Director of the Early Education Program (ASAS) at the International Council for Research and Exchange (IREX), Dr. Cameron Mirza, with the aim of discussing the latest developments and measures that have been taken to implement the Early Education Project (ASAS) at the University’s Faculty of Educational Sciences, which is supported by US Agency for International Development.

Massad emphasized Yarmouk University’s belief in the importance of such pioneering projects that enable Jordanian higher education institutions to develop their study plans and programs in a way that is compatible with the needs of the labor market and that can prepare a generation of Jordanian youth with qualitative skills and capabilities that enhance their competitiveness at the local, Arab, and regional levels. He then pointed out that Yarmouk University embraces a distinguished Faculty of Educational Sciences that includes scientific competencies capable of implementing academic programs for various academic degrees efficiently and competently. He also affirmed Yarmouk’s keenness and commitment to develop and update the study plan for the Classroom-Teacher program in a way that is consistent with the international plans and standards before the beginning of 2024-2025 academic year, ensuring the University’s commitment to provide quality education for students and supply the educational labor market with qualified and efficient human resources.

In return, Mirza stressed the importance of continuing fruitful cooperation with Yarmouk University due to its pioneering and distinguished status in educational field, as made evident in its ability to achieve success and leadership in its various programs. He then pointed out that (ASAS) aims at developing the Classroom-Teacher program at the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Yarmouk University by enhancing the University’s institutional performance, developing curricula and teaching-learning materials, improving practical training, and supporting its infrastructure by renovating and providing a number of smart classrooms with various technological tools, including laptops, smart tablets, etc.
