Representing the president of Yarmouk University, the University’s vice president for Academic Affairs, Professor Muwaffaq al-Omoush, sponsored the Oath-taking Ceremony for the graduates of the fourth cohort at the Faculty of Pharmacy. In his speech during the ceremony, al-Omoush expressed his happiness to attend such event in the distinguished Faculty of Pharmacy, wishing the graduates the best of luck to be distinguished representatives and ambassadors of Yarmouk in the community and extending his greetings and congratulations to them as they have overcome the exceptional circumstances of the corona pandemic. He further stated that the oath-taking is a tradition practiced by all medical and professional majors, as it reflects the importance of performing certain professions with high commitment and responsibility as befits the honor of the career.
For her part, the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Mervat al-Sous, said that this oath-taking will remain immortal in the memory of students, as they will begin their professional commitment to practice the profession and raise the status of their countries. She then explained that the ceremony inspires students to promote enlightenment, positivity, and good citizenship wherever they go, thus proving that the profession of pharmacy is a humanitarian profession that seeks to relieve the sick, the needy, and the beggar.
In her turn, student Lana Othman, gave a speech on behalf of the graduates. She said that the ceremony takes place after years of hard work and diligence through which students got taught and trained by a group of professors, thanking the Faculty administration and members for what they have provided to students during their studies. She further affirmed the graduates’ commitment to preserve Yarmouk’s national, regional, and global reputation.
