The anthropological team from the Department of Anthropology in the Faculty of Archeology and Anthropology at Yarmouk University, under the supervision of Dr. Abdullah al-Shurman, completed the excavation and scientific archaeological survey of the graveyards of the archaeological site of Quelba (Abella) in cooperation with the Department of Antiquities. The survey was part of a field training course for the students of the Anthropology Department at the Faculty of Archeology and Anthropology, where students were trained on the excavation and documentation methods, photography, mapping, stratigraphy, and geophysical surveying. However, the survey discovered a group of burials dating back to the late Roman period and early Byzantine period.
