
On behalf of the President, Professor Dr. Malik A. Alshraireh, the Vice-President, Professor Dr. Amjad Dheifallah Al-Naser, participated in the opening ceremony of the Ministry of Education's First Scientific Conference titled "Modern Perceptions of Education Quality: Lessons Learned… Realities and Future Outlooks".
The conference proceedings were also attended by Professor Dr. Adnan Al-Attoum and Professor Dr. Ahmad Al-Sharifin from the Faculty of Educational Sciences.
Al-Attoum presented a research paper on digital transformation and its role in enhancing education quality. He identified the main challenges faced by digital transformation in schools, the proposed solutions to enhance digital infrastructure, develop teachers' competencies, raise cybersecurity, and reinforce national digital identity, in addition to showing the impact of technology in supporting learning outcomes and institutional outputs.
Al-Sharifin also presented a research paper entitled “The Psychological and Educational Dimensions of Digital Transformation and Their Role in Enhancing Education Quality.” His paper discussed motivation for digital learning, cognitive load, psychological well-being, social interaction, executive skills, and self-regulation. The role of the digital teacher, requirements for designing effective learning environments, and methods of digital assessment were among other issues the paper discussed.
It is worth mentioning that the participation of Yarmouk University in this conference is an indication of its engagement in contributing to the development of the educational sector in Jordan and keeping abreast with the educational and digital developments in this regard.
