The Vice President of Yarmouk University for Planning, Development, Scientific Research and Quality Affairs, Professor Samer Samarah, received a delegation from Beirut Arab University (BAU), which included the University President, Dr. Wael Abdel Salam, and the University Secretary-General, Dr. Omar Houri, in the presence of the University’s Assistant President - Director of the Human Resources Department, Dr. Ziad Zuraikat. Samarah expressed Yarmouk University’s keenness and interest in expanding its network of relations with various Arab and international universities, praising the well-known academic and historical reputation of Beirut Arab University in the Jordanian society. He then talked about Yarmouk’s history, faculties, and academic programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, in addition to its scientific centers and their significance in the field of scientific research and community service. Samarah pointed out that Yarmouk University is keen, in accordance with its strategic plan and vision, to strengthen its position and academic presence with regard to international classifications, mentioning that the University obtained a Five-Star certificate from QS besides achieving a considerable advancement in the Times World University Rankings in Asia for 2023. For his part, Abdel Salam stressed the aspiration of Beirut Arab University to deepen its relations with one of the prestigious Jordanian and Arab universities, such as Yarmouk University known for its academic originality, academic status, quality of outputs, and pioneering roles in education, scientific research, and community service.
