As part of its endeavor to strengthen partnership with various international universities, Yarmouk University signed a memorandum of understanding with the American University of Nebraska targeting various academic and research fields. The President of the University, Professor Islam Massad, said that signing the memorandum may increase cooperation between the two universities, open new opportunities for students and faculty members of the University, and contribute to improving its academic reputation. He then explained that the memorandum emphasizes the exchange of information on best medical practices, the development of joint academic curricula and programs, the arrangement of joint scientific events, the teaching of various academic courses remotely, the exchange of visits by students and residents, especially with the Medical Center at the University of Nebraska, and other areas of common interests. Thus, a ceremony was held to publicize the memorandum, via remote visual communication technology, in the presence of Professor Samer Samarah, Vice President for Planning, Development, Scientific Research and Quality Affairs, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Manar Al-Lawama, and Dean of AL-Hijjawi Faculty of Technology Engineering, Dr. Muwafaq Otoom.
