The President of Yarmouk University, Professor Islam Massad, sponsored the activities of the training workshop "Creative Teaching Strategies in the Basic Stage", which was organized by the Faculty of Education and the ALECSO Chair for Educational Studies and Research in cooperation with Al-Tafaoul Model Academy.
Massad said that the workshop is an embodiment of the University's philosophy and goals, pointing out that it reflects the University’s contribution to the development of the teaching strategies and educational practices of teachers. He then stressed that creativity is no longer a luxury, but a must for institutions and individuals, noting the importance of establishing a modern educational system that expands students' perceptions, deepens their thinking, stimulates their scientific curiosity, strengthens their self-esteem, and leads them to a broader horizon at the global level.
The Dean of the Faculty of Education, Dr. Ahmed Al-Shraifin, appreciated the support of the University’s administration to the Faculty’s organization of various activities and events that deepen the University’s cooperation with various institutions of the local community, encouraging the participants in the workshop to benefit as much as possible from its focus on the methods and strategies of creative teaching. For his part, Dr. Mohammad Al-Hawamdeh talked about certain education theories, stressing the importance of teaching the student how to learn, regardless of the method, theory, style, and strategy used.
However, the workshop was attended by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Professor Muwaffaq Alomoush, the director of the Model School, Dr. Muhammad Al-Momani, a number of faculty members, and a number of teachers.
