Massad: Youth is the means and epitome of development
In its session held at the archaeological site of Umm Qais, the Deans Council of Yarmouk University headed by the University’s president decided to launch “Youth Summer 2022” starting this summer semester 2021/2022. Massad explained that the activities of "Youth Summer 2022" responds to the royal interest in the youth sector and comes as a result of the discussion papers presented by His Majesty King Abdullah II, which called for activating the role of youth as a real and influential partner in public life, advancing the process of youth empowerment, activating democratic dialogue, and enhancing the contributions of the youth. He further pointed out that the activities of this "Youth Summer” include a number of non-traditional activities like interactive workshops, dialogue sessions, debates, art exhibitions, seminars, and competitions that will be presented in modern methods concerned with leadership, creativity, and skills development, which will improve students’ personalities. Massad added that "Youth Summer 2022” is to activate the role of the Deanship of Student Affairs at the University in providing students with the opportunity to get involved in the field of extracurricular activities, thus encouraging them to enthusiastically contribute to the University community and enrich it with purposeful projects.
