The Refugees, Displaced Persons and Forced Migration Studies Center announces a part-time (50%) position of course organizer for implementing the Advanced Training Course on Community-based Psychosocial Support funded by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. The position will be available from 01/2020 to 08/2021. A one-page motivation letter and CV, both written in the English language, are to be submitted to ( ) latest on 5th December 2019. Interviews and written tests will take place from 8-12th December 2019. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Eligible candidates will have the following competencies and qualifications:

–         MA/PhD degree in social sciences or humanities

–         Experience in project management and implementation (preferably internationally-funded projects)

–         Experience in managing project budgets, planning and spending (in coordination with the university’s finance department), and reporting.

–         Experience and passion in working with course participants

–         Ability to interact with faculty members

–         Interest in establishing relations and networking with international organisations, local non-governmental

        organisations and community-based organisations

–         Excellent English and Arabic language skills (written, oral) as well as effective communication skills

–         Excellent IT-skills (power point, word, excel, outlook)

–         Academic member of Yarmouk University
