The President of Yarmouk University, Prof. Islam Massad, patronized launching a comprehensive vaccination campaign against the Corona virus for university students and employees, including academics, administrators, technicians, and their families. The campaign was organized with the cooperation of the faculties of pharmacy and medicine, the university’s health center, and the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, and it took place in Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II building (Classroom Complex) at the University.

During his tour in the vaccination center, Massad stressed the importance of encouraging all university employees and their families to receive the vaccine against the Corona virus, as the process aims at immunizing the university staff, their families, and the surrounding community against the virus and its variants. Massad also called on those in charge of the campaign to follow the correct methods for storing the vaccine and giving it to people. Moreover, he emphasized that it is needed to provide the campaign with oxygen cylinders, an ambulance, and a qualified nursing staff to deal quickly with any emergency cases. In addition, he praised the efforts of those in charge of the campaign, including the health center cadres, the faculty members of the faculties of medicine and pharmacy at the university and their students, and a number of workers in the various faculties of the university who supervised the data entry processes for the campaign participants.

Noteworthy that during the inauguration of the campaign, Massad gave the first dose of the vaccine to one of the university's employees in the presence of Vice Presidents Prof. Mowaffaq al-Omoush, Prof. Riyad al-Momani, Dean of theFaculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Mervat al-Sous, Director of the Health Center at the University, Dr. Yasser Al-Fraihat, Major Muhammad Nour Al-Widyan from the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, and a number of university officials.
